Important information

Host requests are not guaranteed. Requests may be denied for the following reasons.

Scheduling

We work hard to create opportunities that serve students best. We may deny a request If there is another course scheduled in close proximity by location or date. Requests within the same state may not be approved if they fall within 90 minutes or 90 days of an existing course.

Requirements

The course requirements are important for hosting a successful class. We may deny a request if all the requirements have not been met. For courses in the U.S. that include TASER 10, a signed Weapons Conveyance document must be completed before the course is approved.

Maximum request limit

Requests may be denied if the maximum request limit has been reached for the specified timeframe.

Additional Notes

  • Due to the volume of courses scheduled annually, Axon is unable to manage facility use agreements.

  • The course dates requested must be at least 90 days in the future.

  • Training courses will resume on April 1, 2025.

All submitted host requests will be addressed via email, whether approved or denied. Please note that courses are scheduled one quarter in advance of the requested training date.

Effective April 1, 2025, Axon-sponsored TASER Instructor Courses are moving to a two-day format, integrating TASER 10, VR certification, and a focused approach to instructor development. Axon Training believes these enhancements are critical to success, providing instructors with additional hands-on exercises, comprehensive safety training, and emphasizing teaching for successful outcomes. These updates are designed to elevate the quality of officer training, enhance officer safety, and optimize effectiveness in the field.

In-House Internal Instructor Course (online) - Master Instructors should select this course type if your agency plans to conduct an internal instructor course using Axon Academy’s online Version 23 curriculum instead of reviewing the material in person. User access is provided at no cost and can be acquired through the Axon Store once your agency’s course is set up for registration on Axon Academy.

In-House Internal Instructor Course (No online) - Master Instructors should select this course type if your agency plans to conduct an internal instructor course and deliver the Version 23 curriculum in person, rather than as online pre-work. Upon course setup, we will contact you to request a roster of participants to facilitate tracking and certificate issuance.

TASER Energy Weapon Instructor Course - This course type is ideal for agencies that wish to host a TASER Energy Weapon Instructor Course. Hosting agencies will receive two complimentary instructor spots. Please provide all relevant information, including the training/shipping address(es) and up to three requested training dates to ensure scheduling flexibility. Note that submissions must be made at least 90 days in advance, and a minimum of 15 students are required for the course to proceed.
